Episode 212 – Happiness Forever

Laura is knitting on Jackaroo by Amy Herzog using size 6 needles and a Naturally Merino, a New Zealand merino/silk blend yarn. She started the Curiouser and Curiouser stole using size 3 needles and WM Lace in the Verhext and verratzt. She is  done with clue 2 of the Kirsten Kapur Mystery shawl and 10 rows into clue 3 of 5. She is using size 6 needles and WM pure in the Elfe colorway.  Laura is also knitting on a pair of Wendy Johnson gusset heel socks from the toe up out of Regia Fluromania.

Leslie is knitting on Skyp socks in Caterpillar Green’s Concrete & Tulips colorway.

Laura has finished nada

Leslie has finished Lichen out of handspun from Into the Whirled.

Laura has spun all the singles including 4oz of Hello Yarn American Wool on Whales and Ships and Icebergs.  She has also spun 2.3 oz of Hobbledeehoy battlings and plans on spinning some natural Jacob from Ross Farms to ply it with.

Leslie has spun half of a 4oz braid of Gale’s Art 100% Merino on the mini spinner as well as some secret spinning.

Question from NancyGrillo:   Since you answered my yarn club question, I thought I’d press my luck and try another: sock heels. There seem to be so many out there. I’m a traditional heel flap girl and I’ve perfected my own vanilla sock pattern so they fit fine. But curious about which ones you use and in what circumstances. Afterthought for self-striping, etc..Sorry if you’ve already covered this – I only started watching about 8 months ago. Thanks.

Episode 211 – Finish All The Things

She started the Curiouser and Curiouser stole using size 3 needles and WM Lace in the Verhext and verratzt. She is almost done with clue 2 of the Kirstin Kapur Mystery shawl. She is using size 6 needles and WM pure in the Elfe colorway.

Leslie is knitting on Lichen out of handspun from Into the Whirled.

Laura has finished on a pair of vanilla socks using Wendy Johnson’s toe-up gusset method. They are knit on size 1 (2.25mm) needles using Opal Little Prince yarn.

Leslie has finished her Caulfield Cardigan out of Quince & Co Sparrow. She has also finished the Driftwood out of Valley Yarns Amherst.  She started and finished the CocoKnits Weekend Wrap out of Sweet Georgia DK Superwash.  She also decided to bind off and block the Wendyknits Summer 2013 mystery shawl.

Laura has spun a 2-ply out of  Knitty and Color Falkland.  She has 350 yards.  She also finished a 3-ply out of Hello Yarn in the Wickerwork colorway.   It is 270 yards. She has finished 3 oz of cormo on the Ladybug .

Episode 210 – Playful Pups

Laura is knitting on a pair of vanilla socks using Wendy Johnson’s toe-up gusset method. They are knit on size 1 (2.25mm) needles using Opal Little Prince yarn. She is also knitting on Jackaroo by Amy Herzog using size 6 needles and a Naturally Merino, a New Zealand merino/silk blend yarn. She started the Curiouser and Curiouser stole using size 3 needles and WM Lace in the Verhext and verratzt. She is almost done with clue 2 of the Kirstin Kapur Mystery shawl. She is using size 6 needles and WM pure in the Elfe colorway.

Leslie is knitting on the final sleeve of the Caulfield Cardigan by Amy Herzog. She is in limbo with the Wendy Mystery Shawl 2013 project.

Laura has finished her Alaskan Nancy socks in the Russian Rainbow colorway. They were knit on size 1 (2.25 mm) needles and used an afterthought heel with short rows. She has also finished the Gray Gardens Turban using size 6 needles and some handspun yarn.

Leslie has finished her Vivid Blanket knit out of Berocco Vintage DK. She has also finished the Little Liza Jane knit out of Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy.

Laura has spun a 2-ply out of Hello Yarn in the Hither colorway on Corridale. She has 174 yards. She also finished a 3-ply out of a Woolpierogi batt and some Ashland bay yarn. It is 2 oz and 128 yards. She spun some very textured Hobbledeehoy batlings and got 64 yards of a N-ply. Currently she has 2 oz of cormo on the Ladybug and 2oz of more batlings on the Sidekick. The Lendrum still has CVM fleece on it. She also finished washing 4 and a half pounds of Border Leister wool and will start picking it when she gets back from Chicago.
