Laura – I hate to tell you this but I got one of the Tangerine yarn bombing fabric sweater bags. I could not believe it when you started talking about it. Sorry about that. It will be my first Tangerine bag. I just started following Casey on Instagram just last week and saw a photo of that specific bag and just loved it. Then by chance I happened to be on the computer when she had her update and I had just clicked on her shop to check it out. I am so lousy at catching things like that – almost never ever happens. I’m so excited about it.
Next, I have to tell you that I have been on a gigantic Laura Ingalls Wilder kick lately. I borrowed my sister’s childhood set of the Little House books and have been reading those along with other historical accounts of Laura’s life. I have also been watching movies, the old tv series and I have a documentary on tap that I haven’t seen yet. I don’t know what brought this obsession on but I am completely enamored by all things Laura Ingalls Wilder for the last couple of months. I ordered the book, May B, you talked about. Can’t wait.
Love your podcast – love you both! Can’t wait to hang out and be together a bit at SSK this summer.
xoxo, susan
After watching your podcast for the very first time I stumbled upon May B. at our library while I was digging around the new books for kids at the library. I am looking forward to reading it, and I hear you, Leslie, I am not a great fan of prose, either. But this book is talking to me.
I recently got my eight year old son to read Little House in the Big Woods by covering up the picture of Laura and her doll with a post it note. I think it was the only thing holding him back.
I look forward to future podcasts.
