Episode 102 – Best Laid Plans

Laura is knitting  a pair of Simple Skyp socks out of Socks that Rock Medium Weight in Sugarplum on size 2 (2.75mm) needles. She has also cast on a Chubby Chirp out of handspun.

Leslie  is  knitting on an Evenstar out of Tempted Yarn. She got some beads for it from here (wodigewaya is the person who gave her the tip on Rav, Thanks!) .  If you would like to knit Evenstar as well, Susan Pandorf is offering a $2 discount if you use the code: theknitgirllls on Ravelry. Leslie has also cast on this premie hat for  Knitting Brooklyn‘s/Remembering Remy’s premie hat kal.  You can find out more info here in Knitting Brooklyn’s Ravelry group.

Laura has finished a Chubby Chirp out of Berroco Vintage and a Bunny Nugget out of Malabrigo Chunky.

Leslie has finished her BFF socks out of handspun. She has also finished 2 premie hats.

Laura is spinning an inglenook  fibers batt in Honeysuckle on Leslie’s sidekick. On the Bug, is a Miss Babs merino/silk fiber in the Fall pansy colorway.  Laura’s sidekick has some Giggle Jelly Balls on it in the Candied Violets colorway.  She has finished a Loop batt in the African Violet colorway (395 yards).   She also spun some local fiber long draw and ended up with 250 yards. Love my spun Unwind Yarn Company batt! 2.2 ounces equals 266 yards. Laura used Spin Art by Jacey Boggs to create a racing stripe yarn using Scarlett Fleece Fiber.

Leslie has spun an  Inglenook  fibers batt (198 yards) and has tried and failed at spinning big and lofty (I love what she did get though).

Great Show ladies. Thanks for all you’ve done for the lat 2 years!!!! Laura has done so many pattern that I love. I love Starving Artist. I’ve had it in my queue to make for my son ( the beanies version) but still have not gotten around to it. I guess it was just not a hat making winter for me this year. But it will be done for next winter!!
