Hope you enjoy this week’s show!
Laura has on the needles some self-designed socks out of STR lightweight in the Fire on the Mountain colorway (size 1.5 needles) and also has some cutest booties on the (1.5) needles. This yarn was purchased at the wonderful Sweet Sheep Yarn shop when I first began knitting. Laura has begun a Shaelyn out of handspun superwash BFL from Numma Numma for Knitting Pipeline’s Shaelyn KAL. It is being knit on size 6 Signature Needles.
Leslie is knitting on a new sweater using Jared Flood’s class notes about EZ’s sweater percentage system (You can find more details about it in Knitting without Tears). She is knitting in on needles from Glass Pens and Signature. We are sweater drama queens! Cowl out of the lovely Aran weight from Another Crafty Girl on size 9s (still needs to be joined).
Laura has finished a Frostbite hat out of Cascade Ecological Wool from Hank of Yarn. If you have time Glenna C. has a wonderful blog. Laura also finished an Age of Brass and Steam out of the handspun of Frabjous Fibers in the Ink colorway of their glitter blend.
Leslie has finished a Thermis out of her Cakewalk yarn in the Weenie colorway (she is holding it doubled).
Laura has spun a 3 oz batt from on the wheel from Dawning Dreams. It is 160 yards of a 2-ply. She has also started some Tempted roving in the Treehugger colorway. She has also spun 60 yards of super bulky thrums from Moonwood Farms.

Wow! I’m the first comment! Enjoy the podcast!
Love the pink. Could it get any brighter? Love the podcast and the picture book too.
I love watching you guys!
Love that pink! Have safe travels these next few weeks. Also, this was my first Rhinebeck and you should definitely try to go next year.
Boy that pink colorway is bright. That hot pink could cause permanent retinal damage.
I love that fabulous pink yarn! Fingers crossed.
Great show as usual. My DGD would love something made out of shocking pink.
Another fun episode! I would love to win the “you gotta wear shades” yarn, and will check out that etsy shop too. P.S. I love the Peter Brown book! I must get it!
Wow – that is bright- love it!
i love that super bulky pinkish handspun!
That flaming pink would make an awesome Breast Cancer Awareness Monster.
So many things made me smile this week: the pride shirts, Lala’s desperately avoiding saying “that’s what she said” after saying “large balls,” and the m1s ending up on top of Leslie’s sleeves (oy – bad sweater juju). AND I love the electric pink yarn. Thanks y’all!
Great show! Love your shirts!!
I liked the show, I’m really inspired to do more with my handspun. I think your purple/grey handspun would look AWESOME with some beads on it – something grey or silver or pearl – winter ice looking. Maybe a pair of beaded wristwarmers? or fingerless lacey gloves? The pink is very cool – I knit a hot pink hat for my niece when she was little and she about wore it into June. It was a hit – and that’s a good color for you to put next to your face with your coloring.
I’ve been crocheting, it’s kind of nostalgic for me. I did a lot of it as a kid and in nursing school. But I’ve about come to the end of the ‘crochet era’ and am ready to enter a ‘finishing era’. I am finding all these knitting bags with stuff in them – there’s a time to pile up projects and then there’s a time to knock them out. I want to be ready to start something new when my Cloudlover fiber shows up.
Safe travels, Girllls.
Love the pink. I would think one would be half blind when they get finished making whatever out of it. Travel safe.
Makes me so happy to see your podcasts each week.
I gotta say that yarn is rocking. Thanks for sharing it with us viewers.
Love the sweater Leslie! Sorry about the sleeves. The booties are adorable Laura, sorry they are such a pain but Penelope will love them!
That is one bright pink! My niece would love it.
Boy, is that pink! And I don’t have any pink in my stash right now.

Leslie, you did great in adapting the yoke with other yarns. Colours blend very nicely.
Laura, I don’t make socks, but appreciate the efforts of those who do. Your cable-designed look so pretty with the yarn colour chosen.
What a pain having to do the double to Little Rock and back. (Obviously a bloke who organised the time and fare tables.) Isn’t there anyone who could drive you to L R, so you could leave the ‘plane in Memphis?
Loved the T-shirts.
xxxxxx
GORGEOUS! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Stephanie (indigodogmt on Rav)
Just found you two, and Loved watching and listening to the podcast! Hot neon pink yarn, what not to love;) Yummy!
Just found you guys. Love it!
I rebelled against my mother dressing me in pink for the first ten years of my life and didn’t wear it for nearly two decades following that period. However, for some reason, about a month ago, I fell in love HARD for anything pink. This yarn rocks my socks! And so do you two, obviously.
The problem with sweaters is that they take so freaking long to make, and it sucks seeing all of those other sizes. I know that the last time I fit in XS I was probably in middle school.
Molly : )
I can always find something to do with pink yarn! Again, great episode this week, Thanks! (Hope I am doing this right, clicking the widget and then leaving a reply down here in the comments section to enter the giveaway… if not I apologize if I accidently entered for contest twice and understand if that eliminates me.)
Oh, pretty pink! Having fun watching the podcasts. They help me stay inspired to knit and try new things.

I love the podcast. You girllls are super awesome. I feel like i belong here (even though i’m a knitguyyy shhh don’t tell). lol a lot of knitting groups at the different lys make me feel like an outlander or something and not very welcome so i never joined. but i watched all the episodes over a 2 day period and some on the way to rhinebeck and i think I’m caught up…thanks so very much for what you do.
Ben
Love the pink yarn! Please enter me in your drawing!
Love the podcast!
Another great episode!
Wonderful episode. Love the t-shirts, wonder if I could get by with them in St. Louis. I’m really enjoying the purple streak. Didja have to start the KAL when I’m moving and broke, though? Plus I’m not supposed to knit since I’ve got a bad shoulder. Oh well, I was catching up on podcasts and caved. Thanks for enabling. Love the neon pink yarn. Would make a great sweater for my 10 lb black poodle. Have a good trip
Oh, I would love to meet y’all in Little Rock. I had the chance to meet Laura a couple of time at Hank while visting friends, but have never run into Leslie. When you are in Little Rock, be sure to stop in the Yarn Mart if you have time. Very nice people there. And very loverly yarn. If you like Italian food, Cafe Prego is just a couple of blocks down from the Yarn Mart. Wonderful food. Have a good trip.
I am so happy you reviewed Beyond Toes this week. Judy, a few of the other designers, and many of the test knitters are in my knitting group. They are all wonderful people, and the book deserves to do well.
Thank you.
The pink is awesome! It is amazing how I am entertained week after week watching the two of you! Keep up the great videocasts!!!!
Thanks for featuring the PINK! It was so awesome to read everyone’s comments and feel the love, and as per usual the podcast rocked– so great to be a part of it! And thanks everyone for the kind comments in my Etsy as well
