I also made 3 points worth of progress on my Gaenor out of Kitchen Sink Dyeworks in Luxe Merino Fine in the Dexter colorway size 5 (3.75).

About Leslie

Leslie is obsessed with knitting, and when possible, perfection in her knitting. All stripey socks must match exactly and all lace must be blocked severely. She has major love for all of her viewers/readers and hopes to keep blogging and podcasting for years to come.

  1. Ben says:

    Dang! Bright socks, Lala!

  2. Tan says:

I have that same shirt, Lala!

  3. Jessica says:

Laura: What are those scarves called? Eternity scarves?
Me: Infinity. They’re infinity scarves. (Louder) Infinity.
My Kid: Mom, are you skyping with your friends again?
    Me: ummm…no.
My Kid: Mom, they can’t hear you.
Me: (Muttering under my breath) Shut up, kid.

Anyway, fun episode. I am so intrigued by that sock book. I will definitely be on the lookout for it when it’s finally available. Loved the room tour!

  4. Adrienne says:

I think the Falkland would make an awesome fractal spun 2-ply sock yarn! There’s enough contrast and depth to make it really pop.

  5. Ben says:

Lala, when does this book club meet?

  6. linda says:

Leslie….you look really good in the color red….so…there you go.

  7. pquetsch says:

I am totally jealous of your knitting room. Can I come over and play with you guys?

  8. ANN aka realmessy says:

I just want you girls to know that I purchased a Trindle based on your review. It broke after only a few hours of spinning. I took photos and emailed Trindleman explaining the situation. He was prompt to email me back telling me that he will be replacing my Trindle free of charge, no questions asked, I don’t even have to send back the broken one. Quality of product is essential to a good business. But quality of service is quite another thing and often very hard to come by in this day and age. I was very impressed with your review of the product and also very impressed with Jeremy’s response to my problem. As a small independent businessman he can only benefit from this kind of service. I posted a glowing feedback on his Etsy site but wanted you girls to know that you are backing an awesome seller and an awesome product.

    Ann in Canada.

  9. Sommer says:

I just started spinning, so I have some pretty funky-uneven-can’t do a whole lot with it-yarn and I am making even more. What did you guys do with your first attempts at spinning? I was thinking of copying your eternity scarf for some of it. Do you have any other ideas?

    Thanks,
    Sommer

  10. Jeri says:

Just wondering, how does Ann Budd’s new book handle negative ease for socks?

  11. Enid Mary Shaw says:

    5 stars
    xx

  12. Pam says:

I love your knitting room. Leslie, I couldn’t help but notice during the sock book review, you were looking in the book with Lala, not a glance but a good long look, you didn’t stop knitting, and your needles never missed a beat. You did that a couple of times; I’m impressed!
